I am a 457 Visa holder. Am I eligible to apply for the Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) program?

Yes. However, as a doctor on a 457 visa, you will need to support your application with an appropriate letter of support from your preferred regional training organisation (RTO). This letter is at the discretion of the RTO and can only be used to apply for a training place with that RTO. It does not guarantee you a place on the program.

In addition, you will also need to have obtained your primary medical qualification in Australia or New Zealand and supply proof of a current permanent residency application or a statutory declaration.
