What is general practice accreditation?

General practice accreditation provides you – and your patients – with an official guarantee of the provision of top quality, safe and effective patient care.

The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) publishes a comprehensive guide to standards for maintaining an excellent general practice. To gain accreditation, your practice is assessed against these criteria by an independent third party.

If you are interested in becoming a training practice to teach the next generation of GPs, accreditation is an important first step.

Visit RACGP for more information about general practice accreditation.
