When can I apply for RPL?

You can apply for recognition of prior learning (RPL) at any time during your Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) program.

However, if you are seeking fellowship of one of the medical colleges - the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) and The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) – you must apply for RPL no later than three months before the enrolment date to sit that college’s assessment examinations.

As such, GPTQ recommends that you submit your application for RPL within your first year of full-time (or equivalent) year of training.
